splinter shiver
the direct release of energy
all the sighing in the world
can't explain
the containment
of combustion

my desire to be free
free of shackles
and morality
recklessness is my device
but somehow i've lost sight
of everything
i tried so hard
to remember

lose everything tonight
leave behind the tangible
sleep in the arms of a stranger
or even better
sleep alone
taste the cold metalic bitterness
and better yet forgiveness
of myself
i am whole
